Dutoit Yacht Design: Two Oceans 82HPC High Performance Catamaran 82.75 foot

The Two Oceans 82HPC is an 82ft full carbon high performance catamaran is designed for performance sailing, yet she is luxurious and built for comfort.

Her hull, deck, bulkheads, mast, boom, longeron and forward cross-beams are all carbon. In addition, she has quite a few real innovations and promises to be a very exciting boat.

The coach roof of the Two Oceans 82HPC high performance catmaran is slightly lower than the other boats in the Open Ocean Range, keeping with the owner’s specifications for a sleek and elegant overall shape. Her hull lines have been fine-tuned to give her the best performance possible, but she still has the characteristics that the other Open Ocean designs are known for; the spacious aft cockpit, open plan saloon area and the panoramic views from inside the saloon.

The aft cockpit has a versatile layout in that it lends itself to both casual lounging on the large sunbeds and a divan to a more formal dining experience at the allocated dinette area which seats up to 10 people.

The interior layout also differs from the other boats in the Open Ocean Range, as the galley is located down in the starboard hull, which allows more living space in the open saloon area.

In the forward end of the saloon, a gullwing door open up to the wing deck allowing for more ventilation and easy access to the forward day-bed. A large 60inch TV lifts up out of the front furniture module and can be viewed from a comfortable L-shaped settee with integrated ottomans.

To the starboard side of the gullwing door one can keep an eye on the hi-tech instruments at the custom designed nav station. Aft of this one can have an intimate meal at the allocated dining area.

The master cabin with an en-suite heads is situated in the port hull along with custom designed features such as a large massage and exercise area. In the forward end of the port hull one can find a work room and a storage compartment which is accessible via a deck hatch.

The starboard hull has two guest cabins; each with its own en-suite heads, separated by the galley. To the forward end of this hull is where one will find a crew cabin with heads, shower and additional storage.
